Quality control
The production process of both refrigerated and fresh embryos and doses requires strict quality control. At Caprigen we control the functional integrity and fertilisation, which is nothing more than the capacity of the semen to fertilise eggs and generate offspring, thus guaranteeing the quality of the doses. Among the aspects analysed are motility, viability, concentration and acrosomal integrity.
Benefits of the reprodcutive techniques
Today, as a tool for genetic improvement, embryo transplantation and artificial insemination are very useful for three main reasons: it accelerates genetic progress, ensures biosecurity, and facilitates the sale of genetic material both nationally and internationally. Research nowadays has shown that these methods are safe procedures for the prevention of infectious diseases within livestock farms. Furthermore, in terms of epidemiological factors it is concluded that the movement of embryos or seminal doses are safer procedures than the movement of live animals.
Commercialisation of Seminal Doses
Thanks to the evolution of innovative reproductive techniques, with maximum guarantees and magnificent genetic value, at Caprigen we sell seminal doses and embryos of high genetic value (refrigerated and frozen) both nationally and internationally. More and more countries are interested in the Murciano-Granadina breed due to its high production, milk quality and its capacity to adapt to different environments. Recently, exports of this genetic material have been made to countries such as Italy, Brazil, Russia and the USA.
